⚠️ Important — Read Before Using

AI-generated legal drafts are starting points, not final documents. Always review and verify all AI output before using in client matters. Never rely on AI for specific Indian case citations without verifying through Bar & Bench, LiveLaw, or SCC Online. AI can hallucinate case names, citations and holdings.

Workflow 01 Drafting · Highest ROI Saves 2–3 hrs per document Easy · Start Here
Contract & Document Drafting with Claude
NDAs, service agreements, employment contracts, demand notices, legal opinions. Claude produces a solid first draft in under 3 minutes. Your expertise goes into the review, not the blank page.
1
Build your firm’s style context once
Tell Claude your firm’s preferences in one message: jurisdiction, preferred language (formal/plain), standard clauses you always include, governing law. Save this as a note — paste it at the start of every new drafting session. Takes 10 minutes once.
2
Use the drafting prompt
Use the contract drafting prompt from the library below. Be specific about: document type, parties, jurisdiction, key commercial terms, any unusual clauses required. The more specific the prompt, the less review the draft needs.
3
Review using the contract review prompt
After Claude drafts, run the contract review prompt (also in the library below) on its own output. Claude flags its own gaps, ambiguous language and Indian-law enforceability issues. This two-step approach catches most issues before the partner review.
4
Partner review and sign-off
Non-negotiable: every AI-drafted document must be reviewed by a qualified advocate before sending to the client. AI produces a first draft — your judgment produces the final document.
Claude free tier handles this completely. ₹0 cost.
Workflow 02 Research · Knowledge Base Saves 2–4 hrs per matter Easy
Case Research with NotebookLM
Upload your firm’s precedents, downloaded judgments and reference materials. Ask questions across all of them simultaneously. Answers include exact page and paragraph citations.
1
Create a NotebookLM notebook per practice area
Go to notebooklm.google.com. Create one notebook per practice area: one for contracts, one for property disputes, one for family law, etc. Upload your key reference documents — downloaded judgments, standard templates, Bar Council guidelines.
2
Ask questions in plain language
Ask: “What are the key elements courts have required for a valid arbitration clause under Indian law based on these judgments?” NotebookLM answers only from the documents you uploaded — not from the internet — and cites exact sources.
3
Generate research summaries
Ask NotebookLM to produce a research summary on a specific legal question based on your uploaded materials. This becomes a draft memo you can refine. Always verify any specific case citation mentioned against SCC Online or Manupatra before filing.
NotebookLM Free
NotebookLM is completely free. Google account required. ₹0 cost.
Workflow 03 Operations · Intake Saves 45 min per new client Medium Setup
Automated Client Intake with Make.com
New client fills a Google Form → Make.com creates a Drive folder, sends a WhatsApp confirmation, and adds the client to a tracking sheet. You do nothing.
1
Build the intake form in Google Forms
Fields: Full name, contact number, matter type (dropdown), brief description, preferred meeting time, ID proof upload. Keep it under 8 fields — too many and clients drop off.
2
Connect to Make.com
In Make.com: trigger = Google Forms new submission. Actions: (1) Create a new Google Drive folder named “ClientName_MatterType_Date”. (2) Add a row to your client tracker Google Sheet. (3) Send WhatsApp confirmation via AiSensy with next steps.
3
Send the form link instead of a phone call
When a prospective client reaches out, send them the Google Form link via WhatsApp. They complete intake at their convenience. You have a structured record before the first meeting.
Make.com free: 1,000 ops/month (adequate for most small practices). AiSensy: ₹999/month. Google Forms: free.
Workflow 04 Client Relations · Daily Saves 1 hr daily Easy
Client Document Follow-ups with AiSensy
Stop manually chasing clients for ID proof, power of attorney, court fee receipts. Automated WhatsApp reminders fire on schedule — you stay focused on billable work.
1
Create your document request templates in AiSensy
Build 3–4 standard templates: (1) New client document list request, (2) Specific document follow-up, (3) Court date reminder, (4) Fee payment reminder. WhatsApp template messages must be pre-approved by Meta — AiSensy handles this process.
2
Build a client tracker in Google Sheets
Columns: Client name, WhatsApp number, matter type, documents pending, hearing date, last reminder sent. This becomes the trigger source for Make.com automations.
3
Automate reminders via Make.com
Make.com checks the tracker daily. If “documents pending” column is not empty and last reminder was more than 3 days ago — send the follow-up template via AiSensy automatically.
AiSensy: ₹999/month. Make.com: free tier. Together: ₹999/month to eliminate all manual client chasing.

Client Communication
Explain a legal situation to a client
Use when: client needs to understand a complex legal position in plain language
Write a client-friendly explanation of the following legal situation: [DESCRIBE THE LEGAL ISSUE]. The client is a [DESCRIPTION — e.g. first-time property buyer / small business owner]. Note at the end: specific case citations must be verified through SCC Online, Bar and Bench or LiveLaw before relying on them.
— Common questions

Questions Indian lawyers ask.

Can AI replace my legal research on Indian case law?
No — and you should not let it. AI can help you organise research, identify the right legal questions, and summarise materials you upload. But AI cannot be trusted to accurately cite specific Indian cases. Hallucinations — where the AI confidently produces a case name, citation and holding that does not exist — are a real risk with all current AI tools. Always verify every specific citation through SCC Online, Bar & Bench, LiveLaw or Manupatra before relying on it in any filing or advice.
Is it safe to paste client information into Claude or ChatGPT?
Claude is the safer option. In October 2025, Anthropic required users to make an explicit choice about training data — verify yours is set to OFF in Settings → Privacy. ChatGPT free and Plus tiers train on your data by default — go to Settings → Data Controls → turn off “Improve the model for everyone” before pasting any client information. Never paste client PAN, Aadhaar, or sensitive financial details into any AI tool without checking its current privacy settings.
Do I need a developer to set up Make.com and AiSensy?
No. Make.com uses a visual drag-and-drop interface — no code. AiSensy has a setup wizard and WhatsApp template approval handled through their platform. Most lawyers complete the intake automation in one afternoon. If you get stuck, both tools have Indian customer support and YouTube tutorials specifically for non-technical users.
Can AI-drafted contracts be used with clients directly?
AI produces a first draft — not a final document. Every AI-drafted contract must be reviewed by a qualified advocate before being sent to a client or used in a transaction. The review is faster than drafting from scratch (that is the time saving), but it cannot be skipped. Treat Claude like a very fast associate who produces solid first drafts that need senior review.
What does the total AI stack cost for a small law practice?
Claude: free tier (adequate for most drafting). NotebookLM: free. Make.com: free tier handles most small practices (1,000 ops/month). AiSensy: ₹999/month. Total for a solo advocate or small firm: ₹999–1,750/month. At ₹2,000/hour billing, recovering even one hour per day from the automation pays for the entire stack within the first two days of the month.
